I have 5 year old twins and my dining room chairs got dirty! I want to recover them! What kind of fabric is good to do this that is good with kids? Should I put plastic over it? Someone told me to use a waterproof shower curtain and use that as a chair cover. Is that a good idea? I never did this before! Has anyone ever done their chairs? How do you do it? Ant tips or good ideas? What kind of fabric to use?Do I have to buy special kind of fabric? I don’t want to spend alot of money! I have 8 chairs! Can I buy it at WALMART? They sell fabric there?

If your chairs have seats that are the squarish type they’re very easy to cover. All you need is the material and a staple gun. If your cushions are squarish, you can always change the seats again and again with cheap material any time they get dirty. That way you won’t get tired of seeing the same seats all the time. The plastic shower curtains sound pretty good but you might have to buy a lot to get 8 seats out of them. My Walmart still has their fabric department so maybe yours does too. Look at the very wide material so you can get plenty for 8 seats. The lady that works there might can help too. Just measure your seats at the widest points and when you go to Walmarts tell the worker .Any place they sell fabric usually has sales a lot of times so you might check your newspaper or sunday advertisements.
