This morning I noticed a small hole (~2 mm in diameter) in the back of one of my wooden dining room chairs. There was a small pile of very fine sawdust around the whole. I brushed it away, but when I went back an hour or two later, there was a new pile. I haven’t seen any other holes in the other chairs or the table.
Any ideas of what it could be and/or how to get rid of it?
I’ve only seen the back end of the little critter, but it looks a lot like the back end of Tomocerus minor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomocerus_minor).

You should consult an exterminator. Such pests can be dangerous to your health.

Use pesticide by moving the chair out of dining room; or use hot pepper power or wild peper powder to stuff into the hole, then cover the hole with wax.
Dining furniture with good paints or proper surface finishes will not have such problem.
