I am going to be reupholstering my dining room chairs. I was wondering what the difference in using staples and tacks is? You won’t be able to see the tacks or staples.

No real difference when it comes to dining room chairs. Use whichever you prefer.

If you can’t see them then use staples, easier to put in with a staple gun than tying to hold a tack and hammer it in.

You’ll get a better finished product with a staple gun you can pull the fabric tightly a just shoot a staple in place and your corners will hold better too.Think about getting and electric staple gun/brad shooter you can pick one up for about $ 20.00 at Lowe’s/home depot stores It’ll make the job so much easier too -you’ll be surprised how many uses it actually has -and the brad shooter is absolutely indispensable for putting up curtain rods shades ,blinds and anything else that uses those tiny nails
