you either have loose screws or the legs are uneven

Before fully tightening them set them upright on the floor, make sure they are level & then fully tighten them.

try tightening up the screws some more and if this does not help then more than like the legs are worped or they are uneven.

My first thought would be that the screws aren’t tight enough, so check that first.
My second thought would be that there are some rubber washers that your husband forgot about, so check the box to make sure nothing’s left.
My third thought is that they just aren’t very good chairs :)

use wood glue and dry-wall screws to fix anything that is loose and made of wood ——- I guess that your chairs are wood and this is the best fix ((( Elmer’s wood workers glue ;;;;; dry-w screws don’t rust )) drill a small hole in the chair wood so the wood does not split and the chair becomes fire wood instead of no wobbly …

Depending on how the legs went together he may not have pressed each of them into their sockets fully so that they are equivalent to being of different lengths. If it is too late (because he glued them) to get them all snugged up properly, stand a chair on a level floor and see which is shortest leg so you can nail a chair glide on the bottom to lengthen it.

does your man know how to use tools other than a fork and spoon?
