Once it’s cool rub it with an ice cube, It should come loose with no problem. You may have some residue on there still, but that will wear off.

Put a couple of layers of paper towels over the wax and then iron it with a hot iron. The heat will melt the wax and the paper towels will absorb it.

we had the same problem and one of my g/f’s neighbors let her use there steam cleaner
I think it was called the H2o ?,and it worked like magic ,not even a trace of the wax left

I have dropped red candle wax on a sofa cushion and was able to remove 99% of it using an iron.

Scrape off the bigger chunks of wax.
Set your iron on low to medium heat (polyester/synthetic setting).
Place a thick, dry paper towel (double fold or more if using thin paper towels) over the waxy area.
Press iron over the spot – hold in place for a few seconds.
Remove the towel and place a clean spot on the wax. Repeat with iron.
When you are satisfied that you got as much as you can with this process, let the wax cool and then rub or pinch the fabric until the remaining wax crumbles off.

At most, you can feel the waxy texture on the fabric but you shouldn’t be able to see it.
    Good luck!
