I bought a dining set last week (not cheap i may add) we have been enjoying it every night and to my despair i noticed whilst cleaning it today that there is a slight chip on one of the legs of the chair. It wasnt noticeable when assembling but when i was up close cleaning it was certainly noticeable. Now i know its there it gonna annoy me. Tried calling the store but the person didnt call me back. What rights do i have for it to be exchanged for another ( i know its not noticeable from a distance but it could get worse) HELP
they might say it wasnt chipped when they sent it to the store for collection

You can go straight to the manufacturer and SHOULD! If it is an item you had to assemble they should be able to send you a replacement piece. It is possible they do not do this but that would be unusual. I have been selling furniture on line for five years and do sell dining sets. They most likely can just send you the leg. If you cannot find the manufacturer’s information and the store still will not respond to you then contact your credit card ASAP. That should get them responding to you. By not just sending you a new part they will lose ALL payment for your purchase!

Legally, they don’t have to do a thing, if you signed the delivery receipt with no notation of damage. Even if the furniture arrived in boxes, legally it is your responsibility to inspect all the pieces.
They may help you as customer service, but they don’t have to.
